Research Starter Kit
$42.00 CAD
Everything needed to reconstitute and dose a vial, in one line. One 30 mL bottle of bacteriostatic water, a 10 pack of 1 mL syringes for mixing, a 10 pack of 0.5 mL syringes for dosing, and 40 alcohol swabs. Bought separately these come to $49.
Description
The supplies half of an order, bundled so it does not get forgotten.
What is in it
- Bacteriostatic Water 30 mL x 1 — enough to reconstitute roughly fifteen 2 mL vials, so one bottle covers most full runs.
- 1 mL Syringes, 10 pack — for drawing bacteriostatic water into the vial. The full barrel is 1 mL, which is 100 units.
- 0.5 mL Syringes, 10 pack — for dosing. The full barrel is 0.5 mL, which is 50 units. The same markings spread over a shorter barrel, so a small draw is easier to read accurately.
- Alcohol Swabs x 2 packs — 40 individual swabs, for the vial tops and the injection site.
A note on “U-100”
Both syringes are U-100. That describes the scale, not the capacity: one hundred units to the millilitre. So a unit means the same volume on either syringe — 0.01 mL — and the only difference is where the barrel runs out. The 1 mL stops at 100 units. The 0.5 mL stops at 50.
Reading that backwards is how tenfold errors happen, which is why we wrote a whole guide on it: Syringes and Units.
Why it exists
A lyophilised vial is dry powder. It cannot be drawn or dosed until bacteriostatic water is added, and the arithmetic of how much water to add is on each compound page in the Peptide Library and in the Reconstitution Calculator. This kit is simply the hardware side of that, in one click instead of four.
Bought separately the contents come to $49.
How much will I actually need
Water requirement scales with the vial, not the dose — a 10 mg retatrutide vial takes 1 mL, a 20 mg takes 2 mL, NAD+ 500 mg takes 5 mL. Syringe count scales with the number of injections, which depends on the protocol you are working to. The Supply Planner on the calculator page will do that arithmetic on figures you enter.
